È uscita “Rhythms Del Mundu”, un progetto assolutamente unico, nato dall’incontro fra i suoni afro-cubani del Buena Vista Social Club con le tracce di alcune delle bands e degli artisti più forti nella scena mondiale attuale: Coldplay, U2, Sting, The Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Radiohead, The Kaiser Chiefs, Maroon 5, Jack Johnson e molti altri, oltre a contenere esclusive interpretazioni della nota cantante cubana Omara Portuonda e l’ultima registrazione dell’amatissimo Ibrahim Ferrer, scomparso nel 2005.
L’album fa parte di un progetto realizzato dalla Universal Music a supporto dell’associazione benefica Artists Project Earth (APE), che sostiene le aree colpite da disastri naturali e cambiamenti climatici.
